For years, I've dreamed about spending enough time there to study it, experience Cubans' love of baseball and seek ways to heal 60 years of lousy relations between our governments. It's gonna happen!
We watched the Havana baseball team play there in 98. We were the only four gringos there. Due to our relative size they had us sit one behind the other so as to not block views. ;). We loved the people and the culture. We were told by more than one that they consider themselves Americans...and that Uncle Sam is just mad at them for a little while.
Good luck...good look with ending our stupid foreign policy with these great neighbors to the South.
